How to Select the Right PEX Model

Match feed opening to your secondary feed size

PEX feed openings run 250–500 mm wide. The maximum feed size should be no more than 80% of the feed opening width. For secondary crushing where the primary jaw discharges at 200–350 mm, the PEX300×1300 or PEX500×1500 provides adequate margin.

Set CSS based on downstream equipment feed tolerance

If feeding a cone crusher, match CSS to the cone’s maximum feed size to avoid overloading. If feeding a ball mill, set CSS as tight as throughput allows — finer feed directly reduces grinding energy consumption.
