Product Overview

What Is a Crawler Impact Crusher Plant?

The crawler impact crusher plant integrates a heavy-duty impact crusher, vibrating feeder, return screen, iron remover, multiple conveyors, and a self-contained power system onto a single 65-tonne hydraulic crawler chassis. The plant crushes, screens, and recirculates oversized material in a closed circuit – delivering a sized final product from a single mobile unit with no external power or civil works required.

Three configurations are available: AT150 with the SLF150 impact crusher for medium-capacity applications, and AT250 in both Integrated and Standard variants with the LF250 for high-throughput primary and secondary crushing. The AT250 Integrated model features a PLC intelligent control system with real-time parameter monitoring; the AT250 Standard uses VFD drive on the crusher motor with Schneider electrical components throughout.

Key Features & Advantages

  • Ultra-Heavy Rotor - 20% Higher Output

The impact crusher is fitted with an ultra-heavy rotor that increases rotational inertia and delivers stronger blow energy per strike. Compared to standard rotor designs, throughput increases by approximately 20% at the same motor power - lowering cost per tonne of crushed product.

  • Q355 Boat-Type Welded Frame - Built for Tough Ground

The main chassis is fabricated from Q355 national-standard structural steel plate, selected and sized to match the customer's specific operating conditions. The low-profile boat-type cross-section keeps the centre of gravity low, improving stability on sloped, uneven, or soft ground.

  • Hydraulic Crawler Travel - Go Where Wheeled Plants Cannot

The 65T hydraulic crawler undercarriage lets the plant self-propel across quarry floors, demolition sites, and rough terrain without road access or a towing vehicle. Independent left/right track control provides precise on-site positioning, and the crawler automatically maintains level operation on cross-slopes.

Hydraulic Crawler Travel - Go Where Wheeled Plants Cannot
  • 25% Lower Fuel Consumption

Engine speed adjusts automatically to match actual crushing load, reducing idle fuel burn. Combined with the pre-screening system - which removes undersized fines before they enter the crusher - overall fuel consumption is reduced by approximately 25% versus fixed-speed configurations, while also cutting crusher wear.

    25% Lower Fuel Consumption
  • PLC / VFD Intelligent Control - Monitor Everything, Operate with Fewer People

The AT250 Integrated model uses a PLC system with a visual touchscreen interface, real-time monitoring of crusher current, engine load, and conveyor status, plus fault alarm and fault history logging. A wireless remote controller is available on all models, allowing one operator to manage positioning and basic functions without additional ground crew.

  • Closed-Circuit Return Screen - Shaped Product in One Pass

Oversized material from the return screen is automatically recirculated to the crusher inlet via the return belt conveyor. The closed-circuit arrangement produces a consistently sized final product without a second plant, reducing total equipment investment and site footprint.

  • RCYQ-13 Iron Remover - Continuous Rebar Extraction

A self-cleaning suspended magnetic separator is installed over the main conveyor on all three models. It continuously strips ferrous metal from the product stream - essential when processing C&D waste containing rebar - protecting the impact crusher rotor and blow bars from metal ingestion damage.

What Is the Working Principle of the Crawler Impact Crusher Plant?

Feed material enters the vibrating feeder from the hopper. The feeder pre-screens fines and meters the feed evenly into the impact crusher, where high-speed rotor blow bars accelerate material against the breaker plates, fracturing it by impact rather than compression. Crushed product discharges onto the under-screen conveyor, which delivers it to the return screen.

The return screen separates material into sized product and oversized fractions. Sized product passes under the RCYQ-13 iron remover on the main conveyor and is discharged to a stockpile. Oversized material is returned to the crusher inlet via the return belt conveyor for a second pass. The transfer conveyor routes material between screen and crusher as required by the circuit layout.

All systems - crusher, conveyors, screen, iron remover, and hydraulics - run from the on-board generator. The crawler undercarriage allows the complete plant to reposition under its own power when the working face moves.

FAQ

What is the Difference Between the AT250 Integrated and AT250 Standard?

Both use the same LF250 impact crusher, 65T crawler chassis, and 500 KW generator. The AT250 Integrated features a PLC intelligent control system with a visual touchscreen, real-time parameter display, fault history logging, and engine load-adaptive speed control. The AT250 Standard uses a conventional Schneider-based panel with VFD start on the crusher motor and direct start for other motors – a simpler, more field-serviceable configuration suited to sites with experienced operators.

Can the Plant Process Hard Rock Such as Granite or Basalt?

Impact crushers are optimised for soft-to-medium hardness material (compressive strength up to approximately 200 MPa) – limestone, concrete, river pebble, coal, and similar. For granite, basalt, or other hard abrasive rock above 200 MPa, a jaw or cone crusher plant is more suitable. Using an impact crusher on hard rock significantly increases blow bar wear and raises cost per tonne.

How Long do Blow Bars Last?

Blow bar life depends on material hardness and abrasiveness. On limestone, high-chromium blow bars typically run 200–400 operating hours before rotation or replacement. On abrasive material such as river pebble with silica content, expect 80–150 hours. We supply OEM blow bars in high-chrome and martensitic steel grades for all SLF and LF series crushers.

How Does the Closed-circuit Return Screen Affect Product Gradation?

The return screen aperture directly controls the maximum particle size in the final product. Oversized material is recirculated and reduced until it passes the screen – producing a tightly graded output with minimal oversize. Aperture selection depends on the required product size; multiple deck configurations are available for plants producing two or more sized fractions simultaneously.
