Product Overview
What Is a Crawler Screening Plant?
The crawler screening plant mounts a heavy-duty three-layer vibrating screen box on a 40-tonne hydraulic crawler chassis, together with a feeding conveyor, dedicated product conveyors for each deck, and an under-screen conveyor. Every drive in the system – screen, crawler, and all conveyors – runs from a single 154KW engine through hydraulic motors, giving the plant full mobility with no external power connection.
Two models, AT1860 and AT2160, share the same three-layer screen configuration and differ only in screen box width – 1800mm and 2100mm respectively – allowing capacity to be matched to feed rate. Both accept feed up to 200mm and classify it into screen sizes from 5mm to 100mm, producing up to four sized products in one pass.

Key Features & Advantages
-
Heavy-Duty Three-Layer Screen - Up to 4 Products in One Pass
The reinforced vibrating screen box classifies feed into up to four sized fractions simultaneously across its three decks, meeting varied screening demands from coarse aggregate down to fine material in a single operation.

-
Hydraulic-Folding Conveyors - Compact for Transport
The extra-wide, extra-tall product conveyors fold hydraulically for road transport, collapsing the plant to its travel envelope without manual disassembly - simplifying transport management between sites.

-
Dual Power Drive - Flexible for Any Job Site
The plant supports dual drive modes, allowing the operator to switch power source according to site conditions - running on the on-board engine in remote locations or external power where available, without mechanical changes.

-
Hydraulic Screen Lift - Fast Access for Maintenance
The screen box lifts hydraulically, giving clear access underneath for inspection, mesh replacement, and repair - cutting maintenance downtime compared to screens that must be manually jacked or removed.

-
Single-Operator Wireless Remote - Loads and Moves Itself
Wireless remote control of the crawler undercarriage lets one operator drive the plant on and off a flatbed trailer and reposition it on site without ground crew, speeding up relocation between working areas.

-
Compact & Road-Legal - Minimal Site Footprint
High automation and a compact structural layout keep ground bearing requirements low, and the plant's transport configuration meets national road transport regulations for straightforward haulage between sites.

-
Q355 Boat-Shaped Frame - Matched to Operating Conditions
The main chassis uses Q355 series national-standard structural steel plate, with frame geometry and plate thickness selected to suit the customer's specific operating conditions and material loading.

What Is the Working Principle of the Crawler Screening Plant?
Feed material up to 200mm is loaded onto the feeding belt conveyor, which delivers it to the top deck of the three-layer screen box. Hydraulic motors drive the screen in a controlled vibrating motion, stratifying material across each deck according to mesh aperture. Material smaller than the top deck's aperture passes through to the second deck, and the process repeats down to the third deck and the under-screen conveyor.
Each deck discharges its own product fraction onto a dedicated belt conveyor - one-layer, two-layer, and three-layer conveyors are positioned at increasing discharge heights to allow up to four separate stockpiles to form without overlap. The under-screen conveyor carries the finest fraction passing the bottom deck. The 154KW engine, transfer case, and hydraulic pump supply power to every drive in the system, including the crawler undercarriage for repositioning.

How Many Products Can the Screen Produce at Once?
The three-layer screen box can separate feed into up to four sized fractions in a single pass – three from the screen decks and one fines fraction from the under-screen conveyor. The actual number of products used depends on which conveyors are configured to discharge to separate stockpiles.
What is the Difference Between the AT1860 and AT2160?
Both models share an identical three-layer screen configuration, 40T crawler chassis, and 154KW engine. The only difference is screen box width – 1800mm on the AT1860 versus 2100mm on the AT2160 – giving the AT2160 a higher processing capacity for the same feed size and screen aperture range.
Can the Plant Work Behind a Mobile Crusher in the Same Train?
Yes. The crawler screening plant is commonly paired with a crawler jaw, impact, or cone crusher plant, receiving crushed material directly from the crusher’s discharge conveyor. Standard conveyor heights are compatible with most mobile crusher configurations, and both units can be repositioned together as the working face advances.
How is Screen Mesh Changed?
The screen box lifts hydraulically to expose the underside for mesh access. Depending on mesh type – polyurethane panel, welded wire, or rubber – a two-person crew can typically complete a full deck mesh change within a shift. No crane or external lifting equipment is required.
What Power Options are Available Besides the On-board Engine?
The plant supports dual drive modes and can run on hybrid diesel-electric or full electric power in addition to the standard 154KW engine, depending on what power infrastructure is available at the job site. Switching between modes does not require mechanical changes to the hydraulic system.
