How Quickly Can the Jaw Gap (CSS) be Adjusted to Change Product Size?
CSS adjustment on the C116 is performed via wedge adjustment at the rear of the crusher. With the optional hydraulic adjustment system, gap changes take under 10 minutes and require no manual shim work. Standard wedge adjustment takes 20–30 minutes. Both methods are tool-free for the operator.
Can the AL116 Operate as a Standalone Plant or Does it Need a Secondary Crusher?
The AL116 can operate standalone when the target product is coarse aggregate (0–100 mm or coarser). For applications requiring finer output — railway ballast, manufactured sand, or close-graded roadstone — a secondary cone crusher and screening unit should follow. The plant's side discharge conveyor is designed to feed a secondary unit directly.
What is the Difference Between a European Jaw Crusher and a Standard Jaw Crusher?
European jaw crushers (C-series) use a deeper crushing chamber, a larger eccentric throw, and a stiffer welded steel frame compared to traditional PE-series jaw crushers. This increases crushing force per stroke, reduces unproductive wear, and allows higher throughput for the same inlet width — particularly relevant for hard materials like granite and basalt.
Do You Provide On-site Commissioning Service?
We provide remote commissioning guidance via video call at no charge. On-site engineer dispatch is available as an optional paid service — please contact us to confirm availability and cost based on your location.
How Often do the Jaw Plates Need to be Replaced?
Jaw plate service life varies significantly with material hardness and abrasiveness. For medium-hard limestone, jaw plates typically last 800–1,500 operating hours. For hard granite or basalt, expect 400–800 hours. We stock common jaw plate sizes for fast dispatch.
What Materials Can the Mobile Jaw Crusher Process?
River pebble, limestone, granite, basalt, diabase, andesite, iron ore, copper ore, construction and demolition waste, and mine tailings. For highly abrasive materials such as granite and quartzite, we recommend discussing wear part specifications before purchase.
Can the Vibrating Screen be Removed for Open-circuit Operation?
Yes. The circular vibrating screen can be disconnected and the plant operated in open-circuit mode when feeding a secondary crusher or when the output size specification allows for direct discharge.
What is the Maximum Feed Size the Plant Can Accept?
Up to 1,200mm, depending on the jaw crusher model configured. Please confirm the expected maximum feed size when requesting a quote so we can select the appropriate jaw opening.
Can the Plant be Towed by a Standard Semi-trailer Tractor?
Yes. The gooseneck drawbar is designed for connection to standard semi-trailer tractors. For most road classes, no special transport permits are required. We recommend confirming local road regulations for oversize loads before transport.
